Our Mission
The mission of the English Preparatory Program is to provide a practical, flexible, and supportive English preparatory education that helps both compulsory and non-compulsory students build real-world communicative confidence to contribute their academic and professional lives. Recognizing that our students have complex lives and optional attendance, we design our program to keep learners engaged, visible, and progressing week by week.
We fulfill this mission through four concrete, practical objectives:
- Delivering Short, Modular Learning Cycles: We break the academic year into short quarters rather than rigid, year-long tracks. This structure allows students to repeat short cycles quickly if they face setbacks, pause and return without penalty, or advance early if they progress faster.
- Focusing on Real-Life, Task-Based Communication: We replace abstract rule-memorization with active language use. Classroom time is spent on structured pair and group work, authentic speaking and writing tasks, and intercultural collaboration that students can immediately use in academic, professional, and social settings.
- Providing Ongoing, Low-Stakes Assessment: We eliminate the anxiety of single, high-stakes final exams by implementing a balanced assessment arc. Students receive frequent, low-stakes formative feedback and multiple data points throughout each quarter, giving them a clear, predictable map of their own progress.
- Acting as Collaborative Language Consultants: Our teachers do not just lecture; they actively design interactive classroom conditions and act as language consultants. They provide immediate feedback during activities to help students balance grammatical accuracy with confident, meaningful expression.
