Departments with Compulsory English Preparatory Class Program in our University in the 2023-2024 Academic Year:

• Faculty of Arts and Sciences: English Language and Literature

• Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences: Business Administration in English

• School of Foreign Languages: English Translation and Interpretation

 

About the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam dated 11-12-13 September 2023.

 

NOTE: In the 2023-2024 Academic Year, A two-stage Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDYS) will be held for students enrolled in the relevant departments via 2023 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), Foreign Students Exam (YÖS), for the students who registered within the scope of Horizontal Transfer, in order to be exempt from the Compulsory English Preparatory Class on September 11-12-13, 2023 and to start their education directly in the 1st year.

NOTE: Students who do not take the Proficiency Exam or fail the exam will study in the 2023-2024 Academic Year Compulsory English Preparatory Class Program.

NOTE: Students who enroll in departments with Compulsory English Preparatory Class in the 2023-2024 Academic Year do not need to apply to take the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDYS).

 

NOTE: International students who enroll in departments with Compulsory English Preparatory Class Program within the scope of the Foreign Student Exam and whose education status is marked as YDYO –DİLMER (Continuing – Discontinued) in the Student Information System of our university can also take the exam in order to be successful / exempt from the Compulsory Preparatory Program.

International students also do not need to apply to take the exam. It is recommended that our international students check their enrollment status in the Turkish Preparatory Program run by TÖMER and their educational status via the Student Information System (ÖBS) of our University.

NOTE: Students who have studied in the English Preparatory Program in the previous years and have failed can also take the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDYS), provided that they apply until 17:30 on Friday, September 01, 2023.

(Students who are studying in the Compulsory or Optional English Preparatory Class in the 2022-2023 Academic Year and who are unsuccessful should also apply.)

Applications for the Optional English Preparatory Class Program for the 2023-2024 Academic Year:

 

• Students who enroll in the academic units of our university in the 2023-2024 Academic Year, except for the departments that have a Compulsory English Preparatory Class Program at our university, can apply to study in the Elective English Preparatory Class Program in the 2023-2024 Academic Year.

In order to cancel your application, which you have made via E-Devlet or in person, you can also come to our School's Foreign Languages Department Secretariat personally or send it via e-mail - fax after filling out the petition.
